Several cast members of the Oliver Stone Academy Award winning film, “PLATOON, ” will be visiting Key West for Key West Film Festival’s Spotlight screening of “Brothers in Arms,” on November 17, 2018 at 2:30pm. “Brothers in Arms” is the unofficial 30th year anniversary documentary on the making of “Platoon.”

In “Brothers in Arms,” the entire cast shares their firsthand accounts of the grueling boot camp, Oliver Stone’s “unique” directing style, and the brutal filming conditions that forged their eternal brotherhood that still endures 30 plus years after the multiple academy award winning film debuted.

Actor Tom Berenger, who played ‘Sgt Barnes’ in the film will attend along with “Brothers in Arms” Director Paul Sanchez (‘Doc’ in Platoon), Bob Orwig (‘Gardner’), Corey Glover (‘Francis’ and the lead singer for the band “Living Colour”) Terry McIlvaine (‘Ace’) and local Key West resident Mark Ebenhoch (‘Ebenhoch’.) Mark, a 23 year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., was also a Military Technical Advisor for the movie. There will be a Question and Answer session immediately after the screening at the San Carlos Institute, 516 Duval St, Key West. Additionally, there will be a historic event planned for the audience that will only occur at the screening.

‘Brothers in Arms’ is the brainchild of Director Paul Sanchez as a commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the filming of “Platoon.” Key West Film Festival was an early promoter of this film, so this screening will be a special occasion not to be missed.
